My Book is a totally personal, customized book, all about you. The basic book has 20 pages with 30 pictures. You will be photographed in our Mentor studio in a 2-hour session.
You can express the real you with a sense of style and fun. Bring all the clothes you love, whether sports outfits or fancy dresses, jeans, or something you create just for this occasion. You should also bring props that reflect your interests, like a volleyball, skateboard, guitar, books, games, --whatever! Use your imagination and we will provide backgrounds and lighting to match your vision.
You should also bring your favorite music on CDs, iPod, or MP3 player. It will really add to the fun, and will help create a nice space for us to work.
The book can also include words you write -- some poetry, lyrics, quotations, or other thoughts about your life as you are living it.
The finished hardcover book is 8-1/2 x 11 inches, with stitched binding that is very durable -- it is intended to last a lifetime. On the right side of this Web page are some sample pages from an actual My Book. We will provide you with templates on paper so that you can plan and design your own book. And, we will meet with you in person to go over the final layout before it is ordered.
To get 30 good pictures, we will take more than 100 during the 2-hour session. You should bring 5 or 6 distinct outfits so that we can create a number of different looks and moods. It's like a modeling portfolio in which we want to show many sides of the model's personality and interests -- but you are the model!
We will also suggest special effects or black and white, if the image is suitable. (This is as creative for the photographer as it is for you!)
You should bring a helper with you, like sister, girlfriend, or mother. We will have an experienced female assistant to help, and to make sure things look right as we go. For an additional hourly rate we can add a licensed cosmetologist to help with your hair and makeup.

The price for the complete My Book, with photography, proofs, templates, and finished book with 30 pictures on 20 pages in a hardcover, 8-1/2 x 11-inch, stitched-bound book, is $160.00 plus sales tax ($10). That price is good only through 2008.
You get a 2-hour photo session with at least 100 pictures in high-resolution digital format. You will receive paper proofs of the images which you can keep, plus paper templates and layout guides to help you design your personalized book.
Payment: $50 is due when the appointment is booked, another $50 is due at the time of the photo session, and $60 plus all sales tax ($10) is due when you place your order. It will take about 3 weeks to produce your book.
Also, you can order individual prints of any of the pictures we take for the book. See print prices on the senior portrait page. All pictures are completely retouched to remove blemishes and make you look your best.
