Welcome Class of 2011! We (Kathy & Rick) are a very small business doing low volume, customized photography. We treat everyone as individuals and we plan your session around you and your wishes.
Our various packages are described below. But before anything is decided, we would be happy to meet with you in person for a no-obligation, free consultation. You can see samples of our work, and we can show you the kinds of styles we are doing this year. You will be able to pick out backgrounds and sets in advance so we can prepare for your session before it begins. And, you can plan your clothes, hair, and makeup in advance. If you then choose not to have us do your pictures, that's OK. Senior Packages for the Class of 2011 Each of the 3 sessions listed below is $279 plus sales tax. You can buy more than one and get 50% off the second package. A deposit of $100 is required when the appointment is made and the balance is due at the time of the session. You get 24 to 36 proofs in a 5x7-inch digital photo book, which you keep; a CD with your image files and copyright release so you can get prints made anywhere (or put on the Internet without offending us!); one free retouched 8x10 print (or equivalent*) of your favorite pose, and a 2x3 print and file for your yearbook. Plan on about 2 hours for each of these sessions. It could take less time, but we would rather not rush. We'll also put your proofs on a web page that only you will know, but that you can share with friends and family. Here are two proof pages from the Class of 2010: Sample Proof Page 1 Studio Session: Done in our studio, including an optional quick trip to nearby Garfield Park (if you want to, and if weather permits!). The key to a successful studio session is changes of clothes and props that you bring. In our first consultation meeting, we will determine which backgrounds or sets that you like best. But to make the pictures good and interesting, you need to think about a variety of clothes and things to bring. We'll discuss all this so that you feel prepared and confident when we actually do the session. Excursion to Mentor Headlands: This starts at the far east end of the beach, where the breakwall begins (across from the Coast Guard Station) and continues through trees and beach grass and dunes, and ends at the water near the lighthouse. Plan on your favorite summer dress, sportswear, beachwear, or swimwear-- whatever you are most comfortable in. NOTE: we will only do this at or after 6 p.m. because before then, the sunlight is not good enough. If we start promptly at 6 p.m., there will be plenty of time and the light will be warm and wonderful. We also need to plan this within a 7-day period so we know what the weather will be like. We cannot make this appointment very far in advance. Excursion to Fairport Harbor: Gritty working port has lots of character around old buildings, docks, lighthouse, beach and marina. We'll tour the town finding locations you like best. Same conditions as the trip to Headlands, but can be done earlier in the day (although late afternoon is best). Other Packages We have two packages listed on our regular portrait page, which you could choose for your senior pictures even though they are designed for regular adult portraits. See McPeak Portraits.htm One of these is the business or talent portrait for $60 plus sales tax. We do 6 to 8 pictures, we look at them on a computer at the studio, and you pick the one you want. We will retouch the image and send you a 4x6 print and a CD with the electronic files, and a copyright release so you can get prints made anywhere. Depending on our schedule, we can sometimes do this while you wait. A deposit of $30 is required when the appointment is made, and the balance is due at the time of the session. The second is a fashion model portfolio for $260 plus sales tax. See McPeak Portraits.htm for details. This takes a lot of work, many changes of clothes, and is for those who like posing and doing more sophisticated pictures. There are several portfolios on this site at Model-Portfolios.htm Note that the product from this is a disk of images with a copyright release and 10 8x10 prints to get a model's portfolio started. A deposit of $100 is required at the time the appointment is made, and the balance is due at time of the session. Print Prices: Wallet prints are large (2-3/8 x 3-3/8) and have die cut rounded corners. Your name and year can be added in a contrasting color of script type. Retouching of additional poses: $12 per pose. All additional poses will require some minimal retouching and color correction. One reason that we provide files on a disk is to encourage you to purchase less expensive prints at local camera stores, retail stores, or on-line if that will meet your need. This is especially true if you need quantities of prints. Our prints will always be better than any other source because of the personal quality control they receive. Note that photographic services and products are subject to state sales tax. We accept cash, personal checks, VISA and MasterCard. *Equivalent of a free 8x10 print would be 2 5x7s, or 3 - 4x6s or 16 wallets. Special Effects: Conversion to black and white, or warm tones, is free.
Spot color is $42 plus print price.
The Five-image montage is $42 to do the montage, then $32 for an 11x14 print (which is the only size this comes in). The print is delivered in an acrylic box frame.
Special Requests: We can probably do any special effect -- so if you have an example of what you want, please share it with us. Fee will be $42 plus print price. Planning your session: Clothes: You will need a variety of clothing. You might want something formal and dressy, something relaxed, something sporty. Bring several colors. The more varied your clothing, the better! Bring a helper: We (Rick and Kathy) always work as a team, but if your mom or best friend wants to come, all the better -- they will be included! Hair and skin: You are responsible for looking your best, so pay attention to how your hair and skin will look. We can remove all kinds of blemishes and acne, but you need to have your hair and makeup ready to be photographed. We have a little changing area with a makeup mirror, and we keep mirrors handy so you can always see how you look. Kathy and/or your helper will make sure your clothes look just right. Props: Bring your favorite things! Items that reflect your interests will add greatly to your pictures. Think of your musical instruments, sports items and uniforms. Bring music: Bring your iPod or other MP3 player with your favorite music. It will help get you relaxed and add to the mood of the session. We have a cable that can connect it to our stereo. Don't rush: You will be our only session, and we will not rush you, so you should dedicate the day to this event and have fun with it. Make it your last stop so you don't have to hurry off anywhere and can take your time at the studio. Call for a free consultation: We are happy to meet with you to work this all out, way before the session. 440-382-0028. We do not like the hard sell, so if you choose not to use us, that's fine -- no one will call if you decide not to book a session!
