It's about your style, your personality, and your  year!
Special Offer: Book a friend with us and you both get 10% off any session and print order!

We (Kathy & Rick) are a very small business doing low volume, customized photography in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We treat everyone as individuals and we plan your session around you, your vision of yourself, and your wishes. You get full disclosure of all prices right here on this web site -- there are no surprises or hidden fees when you come to the studio or when you order prints.

Many studios charge two fees -- a "session" or "sitting" fee for just taking your picture, then more fees for various print packages, proof books, or your picture files on a disk.  We are different -- we include prints and files in every package.

You always get a disk with all of your high resolution files and a copyright release so that you can reproduce or publish your pictures any way you want, at no extra charge, and without a watermark (our logo) on the image.

You also get whatever print or file your school needs, and at least one retouched print of your favorite pose.

We have two main packages, plus excursions to Mentor Headlands or Fairport Harbor, or to a location of your choice.

Standard Graduate Portrait - $89.00 plus tax

This is a portrait session that is quick and easy.  You will get eight to ten poses (you can have two changes of clothes within those poses) and then pick your favorite one immediately on our computer, right here in our studio.  We will fully retouch the pose you choose, make one 8x10 print or equivalent*, and give you the retouched image and all the other poses on a CD.  You will also get whatever size file your school may need, or a glossy wallet print if the school needs a paper print instead of a file. A copyright release is on the disk so you can get prints made elsewhere, or publish on the web.  Delivery time is about two to three weeks.  Book a friend with us and both of you will get 10% off this package and any additional prints you order.

*Equivalent of one free 8x10 would be 2 5x7s, or 3 4x6s, or 16 wallets, which is about $15 - $20 in free prints.

    To review -- In the Standard Package, you get: Eight to ten poses in two changes of clothes; retouched 8x10 print or equivalent; print or file for school; CD with all files and copyright release.  Add more prints using the price list below.

Expanded Graduate Portrait - $199.00 plus tax

Each of the 4 sessions listed below is $199 plus sales tax.  You can buy more than one and get 50% off additional packages.  That is, if you combine the Expanded Package with an Excursion, you will get half off the Excursion price.  Your proof book will be ready in two to four weeks.

Book a friend with us and both of you will get 10% off these sessions and any additional prints you order.

In each of these sessions, you get:

--24 to 30 good poses in a 5x7-inch soft-cover photo book, which you keep (with no logo or imprint on the images);
--a proof page on our Internet site;
--a CD with your image files and copyright release so you can get prints made anywhere (or publish on the Internet without offending us!);
--two free retouched 8x10 prints (or equivalent*) of your favorite pose;
--a print or file for your yearbook.

*Equivalent of two free 8x10 prints would be 4 5x7s, or 6 - 4x6s, or 32 wallets, which is $30 to $40 in free prints, included in each package. Add more prints using the price list below.

Plan on about two hours for each of these sessions. It could take less time, but we would rather not rush. You can have as many changes of clothes as practical (four or five changes is usually the most you'll want to do).

We'll put your proofs on a web page that only you will know, but that you can share with friends and family. Here are two proof pages from the Class of 2010:

Sample Proof Page 1
Sample Proof Page 2

1. Studio Session (including outdoor settings):  Done in our studio, including an optional quick trip to nearby Garfield Park (if you want to, and if weather permits!). The key to a successful studio session is the changes of clothes and props that you bring.  In our first consultation meeting, we will determine which backgrounds or sets that you like best.  But to make the pictures good and interesting, you need to think about a variety of clothes and things to bring.  We'll discuss all this so that you feel prepared and confident when we actually do the session. $199 plus tax.

2. Excursion to Mentor Headlands:  This starts at the far east end of the beach, where the breakwall begins (across from the Coast Guard Station) and continues through trees and beach grass and dunes, and ends at the water near the lighthouse. Plan on your favorite casuals, summer dress, sportswear, beachwear, or swimwear-- whatever you are most comfortable in. NOTE: we will only do this at or after 5 or 6 p.m. because before then, the sunlight is not good enough. If we start promptly, there will be plenty of time and the light will be warm and wonderful.  We also need to plan this within a 7-day period so we know what the weather will be like.  We cannot make this appointment very far in advance. $199 plus tax or $99.50 when combined with the studio package.

3. Excursion to Fairport Harbor:  Gritty working port has lots of character around old buildings, docks, lighthouse, beach and marina. We'll tour the town finding locations you like best. Same conditions as the trip to Headlands, but can be done earlier in the day (although late afternoon is best). $199 plus tax or $99.50 when combined with the studio package.

4. Excursion of your choice: Must be within 20 minutes of our Mentor Studio or our home in eastern Painesville Township. $199 plus tax or $99.50 when combined with the studio package.

Print Prices:
In addition to the free prints that you get with the above packages, we can provide additional prints. Our print prices are:

  • Wallets- 8 for $7.75  (Wallet prints are large (2-3/8 x 3-3/8) and have die cut rounded corners.  Your name and year can be added in a contrasting color of script type. )
  • 4x6 - $6.49 ea
  • 5x7 - $9.95 ea
  • 8x10 - $16.95 ea

Display prints for framing, mounted on rigid matte board:

  • 11x14 - $29.95
  • 16x20 - $49.95

Canvas wraps and stand-out mounts are available 8x10 or larger, and we will quote current prices if you are interested in those unique products.  They will add $40 to $150 to the print price, depending on size.

Prints which are 11x14 and larger are delivered in a protective frame. 4x6 thru 8x10 prints are delivered in folders suitable for display.

Retouching of additional poses: $12 per pose. This is waived for print orders of $12 or more per file.  So, if you order an additional pose, and order $12 or more in prints for that pose, there is no retouching fee.

One reason that we provide files on a disk is so you can purchase less expensive prints at local camera stores, retail stores, or on-line if that will meet your need.  This is especially true if you need quantities of prints. Avoid glossy paper -- use semi-glossy, luster, or matte. Our prints will always be better than any other source because of the high-end lab and personal quality control we maintain.

Note that photographic services and products are subject to state sales tax.

We accept cash, personal checks, VISA and MasterCard.

Special Effects:

Conversion to black and white, or warm tones, is free.

Spot color is $22 plus print price.

The Five-image montage is $42 to do the montage, then a discounted price of $16 for an 11x14 print (which is the only size this comes in). The print is delivered in an acrylic box frame.  Total is $58 plus tax.

Special Requests:

We can probably do any special effect -- so if you have an example of what you want, please share it with us. Fee will be $42 plus print price.

Planning your session:

Share Examples of Pictures:  We are happy to attempt to reproduce a pose or effect that you have seen somewhere else.  Bring us samples and we'll try to match the look you want.

Clothes:  You will need a variety of clothing.  You might want something formal and dressy, something relaxed, something sporty. Bring several colors. The more varied your clothing, the better!

Bring a helper:  We (Rick and Kathy) always work as a team, but if your mom or best friend wants to come, all the better -- they will be included!

Hair and skin:  You are responsible for looking your best, so pay attention to how your hair and skin will look. We can remove all kinds of blemishes and acne, but you need to have your hair and makeup ready to be photographed. We have a secure and private changing area with a makeup mirror, and we keep mirrors handy so you can always see how you look.  Kathy and/or your helper will make sure your clothes look just right.

Props:  Bring your favorite things!  Items that reflect your interests will add greatly to your pictures. Think of your musical instruments, sports items, uniforms, or unusual items you might have in your room, which would add interest and a personal sense of you to the portrait.

Bring music:  Bring your iPod or other MP3 player with your favorite music. It will help get you relaxed and add to the mood of the session.

Don't rush:  You will be our only session, and we will not rush you, so you should dedicate the day to this event and have fun with it. Make it your last stop so you don't have to hurry off anywhere and can take your time at the studio.

Call us for a free consultation at 440-382-0028.  We are happy to meet with you to talk about all the details, way before the session.    We do not hard sell, so if you choose not to use us, that's fine -- no one will call if you decide not to book a session.
